I’ll admit it

I’m not ashamed.  Maybe a little off my rocker.  Blame it on hormones.  I think I am going to buy Britney’s new album that comes out Tuesday.  Why?  I’ve heard some song off of it – I love the energy, the beat.  Sounds like it would be great music for the gym.  (Yes, this baby will get exercise – nothing extreme but I can’t sit on my ass this time around).

So there – you know my secret.  I like Britney Spears.  I’m glad she is making a comeback from all of the shit she went through.  Seriously – we’ve all had rough patches in our lives – well maybe not to the extreme of shaving our heads – but it’s nice to see she is getting better.

Off to finish Eclipse.

The Letter “C”

I feel like I am going on an adventure down Sesame Street…but that is not the case.  Shannon had a cool post on her blog…all things that start with the letter “J”.  She was extremely creative and I can only hope to do her justice!  She has selected the letter “C” for me…

Candy Canes – because I am going to be putting up my tree this weekend.  But I don’t like the red peppermint kind, I am more of the green spearmint kind of girl…

Candles – I love lighting candles all over the house when the weather is chilly outside.  It doesn’t help that Avery follows me around and blows them all out.   Damn them for having Fire Safety week.  Didn’t they teach them NOT to play with candles?

Candy bars – especially Heath bars and Baby Ruth bars.  YUM YUM YUM!

Man, I am racking my brain trying to come up with a HOTTIE that starts with C.

WAIT – I’ve got it !   Christian Bale.

christian_bale_98

The Cure – does that count?  My all time favorite band EVER.

Cuddling – I love to cuddle with Hubby and my little precious sweet pea, Avery.

Cleaning – believe it or not, I like to clean.  I hate messiness.  I hate dirty floors.  And the obsession is 100 millons times worse now that I am pregnant.

Cullen – as in Edward Cullen.  If you don’t know who I am talking about…You must come out from under a rock and read the Twlight books.  I am almost finished with Eclipse and have the final book waiting for me on a shelf.  I will be sad when I finish reading them all.  But I did see that Stephanie Meyer has a new book out.  Anyone read it yet?

Christmas – oh how could I have made it this far into my list without putting down my favorite Holiday of the whole freaking year??????  My tree will go up, the presents will be bought and wrapped and the celebrating will commence.  I have so much to be thankful for this holiday season.  Too many things to list.

Cookies -hand in hand with Christmas comes COOKIES!  I make my wreath cookies every year and they are always a hit.  The first batch will be made tomorrow for a cookie exchange on Monday.  And my MIL always makes me black-eyed susans – people call them something different but they are the peanut butter cookies with the hershey kiss in them.  YUM!  All of us battle for those every year.

So, that’s all I can come up with right now.  That was fun!  I hope to get another letter soon.  Gets my creative juices going!

Happy Day, everyone!!!!

Thanksgiving Dinner

We enjoyed the company of family and friends yesterday for a yummylicous Thanksgiving meal.

I honestly think Avery had the most fun…

turkey-leg-1

She insisted on getting a turkey leg.  She ate all three kinds of pie (pumpkin, apple and mincemeat).  And had a roaringly great time telling everyone that “Mommy has a baby in her tummy”.

Today, I didn’t go shopping, I avoided the stores like the plague.  I used to get into all of that, but we don’t really have anyone other than immediate family to buy for, so there’s no need to hunt for deals.  But today I do have to work.  And Avery and Hubby are off to buy her a “big girl” (read twin) bed.  She is so flippin’ excited!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!

Life Changing Moments

So let me ask you…have you ever had a moment in your life that blew you out of the water?  Seriously, we are talking LIFE ALTERING.  Your life will NEVER be the same again.

I had one about 4 years ago, when I found out that I was pg with Avery.  I was dumbfounded, in shock, and truly amazed.  Now that she is almost 3 1/2, I can truly appreciate how life altering that moment was.  Peeing on a stick and watching the word PREGNANT appear in the little window.  I had to take 2 more tests after that just to MAKE.SURE.  Of course Hubby was living 9 hours away at that time, so I had to break the news to him on the phone.  While he was in the middle of a meeting at his new job.  We laugh about it now.

On Saturday November 15, at 6:30 pm, I experienced another life altering moment.  After this said event occurred…I spent a lot of time pondering how nothing, from that moment forward, would ever be exactly as it was at 6:25pm – a mere 5 minutes earlier.  Isn’t it just earthshattering how that can happen?  I cried when it happened…and then I went shopping.

Avery got a new t-shirt.

big-sis-2

And if you still don’t get it…check out my shirt.

knocked-up

Ok, if you haven’t gotten it by now – which I am sure you all have – we are having another baby – next summer.  Completely surprised us, but it is the most welcome, happiest surprise ever.  We have been trying for months and had just decided to start infertility treatments after the first of the year.  Now how about that!

So there you have it – my 200th post – I’ve been saving the news!

Can hardly stand it…

After getting through New Moon…with a little difficulty…and am very excited to say that I now hold in my hand 629 glorious pages of Edward and Bella.  I just got back from the store with a fresh copy of Eclipse in my little hands.

Now I have something to do during Monday Night Football.  BRING ON THE VAMPIRES!!!

PS – TOMORROW IS POST 200.  PLEASE COME BACK…I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SHARE!

What is all over your face?

Thursday Avery’s class had a birthday party to celebrate November birthdays in her class.  They had cupcakes.  With LOTS of frosting.  Colored frosting.  I don’t know that the heck kind of artificial coloring went into these puppies but this is how she came home…..

She wasn’t pleased when I told her should couldn’t have more cupcakes.

Seriously – do you see in on her NECK?????

Today is Saturday – she just came down off her sugar rush.  For real.
