My Best Girl…

Five years ago today at 2:17 CST in a hospital in McAllen, Texas my world changed forever…

That  year brought many firsts…smiling, sitting up, crawling, laughing, first tooth, kisses, hugs, words…

And then she turned one…

The next year brought first steps, first sentences, first temper tantrums…

And then she turned two…

Ah, the year of being two.  First school, first time as a flower girl, first sentence, first swear word…

And then she turned three…

My big girl…she went to preschool…made her first BFF…

And then she turned four…

She became a big sister, was a flower girl for the second time, made a cross-country trip with Daddy, rode a school bus for the first time, graduated from preschool.

Finally today…my best girl is five…

This morning she woke up to a big surprise – a big girl bike.  She could hardly wait to get outside and ride it (notice the PJs – it’s before 8am)…

How I wonder what surprises and memories this next year will bring…kindergarten, new friends, family vacations, trips to the hunting cabin…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST GIRL…I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER KNOW…XOXO
